Berger Paints is committed to sustainable development with minimal impact on the environment. The first step towards achieving this is waste minimisation and conservation of resources. We focus on the 3 R’s – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. This has helped us minimise material losses in the last few years. Our paint plants are moving towards generating zero industrial effluence and zero hazardous solid waste. We’ve upgraded our effluence treatment facilities, installed reverse osmosis plants, and instituted appropriate recycling and reuse schemes. These efforts go a long way in helping us achieve our aim for Zero Waste.

We prioritize the health and safety of our employees, our service partners, the communities near us, and our customers. We do this by implementing ‘safe design’ at every step of the process and creating a culture of safety in the organisation. Our products and processes have been re-engineered to be green and environmentally friendly. Our safety mantra is three-fold: zero accidents, zero occupational illnesses, and zero incidents of property damage.

We constantly streamline and innovate with our processes. For instance, we produce large batch sizes to help us achieve substantial savings in resources deployed. We’ve created bulk storage facilities for monomers in order to reduce wastage. We’ve also improved our incinerating systems and implemented reverse osmosis.

We lay strict emphasis on statutory compliance. In fact, our products go beyond the prescribed standards and offer best-in-class features. Our performance is published to our stakeholders on an annual basis. Our materials are sourced from responsible vendors that comply with child labor laws and statutory regulations.

Water scarcity is a real and pressing concern all over the world and conservation is at the heart of everything we do.
